About the event

Join award-winning writer-director Xander Zweig alongside Mel Horn, an accomplished theatre-maker and educator, as they guide you through the essentials of writing for the stage.


  • Workshop 1 (Characters & Plot): Dive into character creation, explore the 3-act structure, and learn how to shape your story from the ground up. Includes script formatting tips and a take-home cheat sheet!


  • Workshop 2 (Dialogue & Voice): Focus on writing authentic dialogue and crafting distinct character voices. Participants will polish and present a short scene in a guided mini play reading.
